According to the organizers, this workshop “focuses on different aspects of authoriality, authorial agency, and new more nuanced concepts of medieval authorship in rabbinic literature early medieval midrashic texts (2nd to 10th centuries CE). It approaches them also with a comparative perspective to Judaeo-Arabic literary production, in which novel notions of authorship emerge.”
