Tenure-Track Professor in the field of Jewish History of Austria

As part of the Ashkenazi linguistic and cultural area, the Habsburg Monarchy and its successor states define the geographical focus of this tenure track professorship, which is dedicated to the history of Jewish culture, society and ideas in the period between 1500 and 1930. Successful applicants are recognised for their research on Ashkenaz and will complement the profile of the Institute for Austrian Historical Research with their source-oriented and interdisciplinary work, and contribute to the expansion of research networks on Jewish history.
