Lecture Series (in German): “Die Vertreibung der Kölner jüdischen Gemeinde 1423/1424 im europäischen Kontext”, Universities of Cologne and Münster, online

The Universities of Cologne and Münster are hosting a lecture series on “Die Vertreibung der Kölner jüdischen Gemeinde 1423/1424 im europäischen Kontext” which will also be available online and recorded for later viewing.

The lectures take place every Tuesday from 6pm to 7:30pm CET, starting on 10 October with a lecture by Carla Meyer-Schlenkrich on the expulsion of the Jewish community of Cologne.

The Department of History at Barnard College, Columbia University, seeks to appoint a tenure- track assistant professor in the Medieval World, any region, with a focus that may include, but is not limited to, Africa, Asia, Eurasia, Europe, the Indian Ocean, the Mediterranean, or the Middle East. Preference for candidates who explore the interactions between different cultures, polities, economies, religions, and/or ethnicities, and for those who can teach the Global Middle Ages.

Reinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Research Fellowships

The Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library has relaunched and expanded its fellowship program to facilitate research in Yale’s special collections by the broadest possible group of researchers. We welcome applications from scholars and graduate students locally and globally who utilize traditional methods of archival and bibliographic research as well as from individuals who wish to pursue creative, interdisciplinary, and non-traditional approaches to conducting research in the collections.
