Postdoctoral Research Fellowship 2024-2025, The Center for the Study of Christianity at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem

The Center for the Study of Christianity at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites applications for two postdoctoral research fellowships in the following areas of study:

  • New Testament, Early Christianity, its literature and Jewish context.
  • Eastern Christianities, with a preferred emphasis on Syriac.
  • Christianity in Palestine/ Eretz Israel, throughout history.
  • Jewish-Christian relations, throughout history.
  • Intellectual History of Late Modern Christianity

The Israel Science Foundation sponsored research project Contending with Crises: The Jews in XIVth Century Europe at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem under the direction of Prof. Elisheva Baumgarten is offering short term (1-2 months) visiting fellowships for Ph.D. students in the fields of History, Jewish Studies, Religious Studies, Literature, or Art History and for Postdocs in these fields, starting in October 2024.

Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

The Halpern Center for the Study of Jewish Self-Perception is issuing a call for applications for a post-doctoral fellowship in the amount of 70,000 NIS, for the year 2024-2025. The fellowship will be undertaken at the Israel and Golda Koschitzky Department of Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry at Bar-Ilan University. The Center typically supports projects that deal with self-perception in Jewish societies in historical perspective.

JTS/AJL Certificate in Judaica and Hebraica Librarianship

The Jewish Theological Seminary and the Association of Jewish Libraries are pleased to offer a certificate program in Judaica and Hebraica Librarianship.

This program prepares participants to work in the field of Judaica librarianship, providing state-of-the-art skills and experience specific to working with Judaica collections. Taught by world experts in their fields, courses are offered online as a twelve-month series of modules repeated in three cycles.
